Water in the Landscape Saturday 1 January 2011
This year, Hands, Heart & Feet have developed 2 stories as part of Water in the Landscape, an initiative to develop awareness of water in the local environment through creative or cultural practices.

- The Water of Life

- The Half Girl and the River

Both stories are traditional, rich tales told with a blend of music and dance. They have been designed to be presented in schools, with interactive games and discussions woven into the performance.

Our cast was diverse in cultural traditions, as well as age - dancers ranged from their 20s to their 70s! Drawing upon traditions from Africa, India, Bali, the Middle East and Contemporary styles, THE FIREBIRD became a gift of profound beauty, sadness, humour and joy.
