Twice a year, night and day stand in perfect balance. We invite you to dance and make music on this Equinox (Equal Night)– before we tip towards light again, ascending out of the darkness of Winter, and moving towards the warmth of Spring.
SATURDAY 25th September, 2010:
Gathring @ Murrungundie, Springwood – with John & Emily from Hands, Heart & Feet
* Arrive any time after 4pm, for chai and a chat in the lovely bush setting. (Please no later 6pm)
* 6pm: we begin our evening celebration of the Spring Solstice: drumming, dancing, storytelling & spontaneousness around a fire, under a starry night sky.
* Bring a plate of food to share, dress up. Entry by donation.
SUNDAY 26th September, 2010:
* 10am: pack a picnic breakfast and meet @ the spectacular Aboriginal Rock in Wentworth Falls.
* Afternoon Workshops @ St Canices, Katoomba – with Tuza & the Salaka Ensemble from Ghana
1pm - 2:30pm: Drum Workshop
3pm - 4:30m: Dance Workshop
$30 / $25 for one workshop
$50 / $40 for both

AFRICAN DRUM & DANCE CAMP WITH EPIZO BANGOURA
3rd - 9th October, 2010
ABOUT THE BUNDAGEN CAMP:
Epizo Bangoura's Drum & Dance Camp at Bundagen is a yearly highlight in the Drum & Dance community in Australia. Master musician and dancer from Guinea in West Africa, Epizo is based in Paris, and returns to Australia once a year to run this fantastic camp.
The Epizo "Bundagen" Camp was established in 1995, and was the 1st camp of its kind. Rebekah Zammit Ross has staged over 15 of these camps, in the original format - still attracting a strong following every year because of the calibre & quality of tutorship, teaching & the exquiste surroundings.
ABOUT THE BUNDAGEN COMMUNITY:
"Bundagen" is the name of the Community where this camp is held (on the East Coast of Australia near Bellingen).
The stunningly beautiful setting of this camp is also what makes it such a unique and special experience: Bundagen is a luscious, tropical paradise by the ocean!
A wonderful community of locals welcome Drummers and Dancers once a year to share in their paradise....
Swim, surf and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings between drumming, dancing and eating delicious food!
DAILY PROGRAM:
9am - 11am: Drum Class
11am - 1pm: Dance Class
Lunch
3pm - 5pm: Drum Class
5pm - 7pm: Dance Class
Dinner
Lovely evenings of: storytelling, kora, singing & chats over cups of chai.
